3. Organizations and Multi-Tenant Access

3.1 Organization Membership

Users may create or join organizations within the platform. Each organization operates as a separate entity with its own data, settings, and subscription.

3.2 Organization Roles

• Administrators: Have full control over the organization, including managing members, subscriptions, settings, and data
• Members: Have access to organization features based on permissions set by administrators

3.3 Organization Responsibilities

As an organization administrator, you are responsible for:

• Managing member access and permissions
• Ensuring compliance with these Terms by all organization members
• Maintaining an active subscription for paid features
• Data and content uploaded by organization members
• Ensuring that members have the necessary rights to share content within the organization

4. Service Features and Usage

4.1 AI-Powered Research Tools

The Service provides various AI-powered features, including:

• Literature Review and Chat: AI assistant for discussing research topics and answering questions
• PDF Analysis: Upload and interact with research papers and documents using AI
• Document Library: Organize and manage your research papers with tagging and search capabilities
• Citation and Summary Generation: Automated processing of research papers

4.2 Permitted Use

You may use the Service for:

• Personal or professional research activities
• Academic and commercial purposes related to sports science
• Collaboration within your organization
• Analysis and discussion of scientific literature

4.3 Prohibited Actions

You may not:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Upload or share content that infringes intellectual property rights, is defamatory, obscene, or harmful
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Use automated systems to scrape, mine, or extract data systematically from the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
• Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access

4.4 Content Ownership and License

• Your Content: You retain ownership of all content you upload (PDFs, notes, tags, etc.)
• License to Us: By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you
• AI-Generated Content: AI-generated responses and summaries are provided to you, but we retain no ownership claims to this output
• Organization Content: Content uploaded within an organization context may be accessible to other organization members with appropriate permissions
• Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload and share any content, particularly when sharing documents with your organization. You must not upload or share content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others

5. AI Limitations and Disclaimers

Sports Science AI uses artificial intelligence to assist with the interpretation, analysis, and summarization of scientific research. Important limitations:

• No Warranty of Accuracy: We do not guarantee the factual accuracy, completeness, correctness, or relevance of any AI-generated content
• Not Professional Advice: The Service should not be used as a substitute for professional judgment, peer-reviewed research, expert consultation, medical advice, or clinical decision-making
• Hallucinations and Errors: AI models may produce inaccurate or misleading information. Always verify important information with primary sources
• Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for how you use and rely upon AI-generated results and for any decisions made based on them
• No Training on Your Data: Your inputs and uploaded content are not used to train or improve AI models

6. Subscription Plans and Payment Terms

6.1 Paid Features

Certain features require a paid subscription. Features and pricing are subject to change with notice.

6.2 Subscription Plans

• Individual Plans: Personal subscriptions for individual users
• Organization Plans: Team subscriptions managed at the organization level

6.3 Pricing and Billing

• All prices are presented at the time of purchase and are subject to change
• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
• Billing is processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor
• You authorize us to charge your provided payment method for all applicable charges
• Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of new pricing

6.4 Automatic Renewal

Unless you cancel, your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing cycle. You will be charged at the then-current rate.

6.5 EU Right of Withdrawal

As a European consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason, in accordance with EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU. You will receive a full refund for any amounts paid if you exercise this right within the 14-day period.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by contacting contact@sportscienceai.com within 14 days of your initial purchase.

6.6 Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• After cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period
• Outside of the 14-day withdrawal period, no refunds are issued for partial billing periods unless required by law
• Upon cancellation, organization data and content remain accessible based on your subscription terms

6.7 Upgrades and Downgrades

• Upgrades: Take effect immediately with prorated charges for the remaining billing cycle
• Downgrades: Take effect at the start of the next billing cycle

6.8 Failed Payments

If payment fails:

• We may attempt to reprocess the payment
• We may suspend or terminate access to paid features until payment is resolved

6.9 Taxes

You are responsible for all applicable taxes. Prices do not include taxes unless explicitly stated.

7. Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Usage Limits and Resource Allocation

We may impose reasonable usage limits on certain features, including:

• Number of PDF uploads or storage capacity
• Number of chat messages or API calls
• Processing time for document analysis
• Number of organization members

Limits vary by subscription plan. Excessive use may result in throttling, additional charges, or service suspension.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, code, design, trademarks, and original content, is owned by Sports Science AI and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of any intellectual property rights in the Service.

Research papers and scientific articles accessed through the Service are subject to their respective publishers' copyright and license terms. We do not claim ownership of third-party content.

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without notice, if:

• Your account is inactive for an extended period
• We are required to do so by law
• Continued provision of the Service would create risk or legal liability
• Your payment fails and remains unresolved

Our total liability for all claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
